Cannot turn off "MultiPoint Connector" feature, when turning off the feature in "Turn Windows Features on or off" it asks for "Windows need to reboot to finish installing the requested changes", when rebooting it gives an error:"We couldn't complete the features. No need to worry—undoing changes. Please keep your computer on."Then it reboots again and gives this error:"Something didn't go as planned. No need to worry—undoing changes. Please keep your computer on."Then it boots in Windows and the feature is not turned off.Event Viewer: Update MultiPoint-Connector of package Micr

  2. Cannot turn off "MultiPoint Connector" feature

    Hello ChayimEliazer,

My name is Nada, I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue, and I will try my best to assist you.

It would be best to uninstall this feature directly from settings.

    1. Open Windows settings and go to Apps > Optional Features

    2. In Optional Features, look for "MultiPoint Connector" and select the drop-down arrow beside it.

    3. Select Uninstall then restart your device to apply the changes.

If "MultiPoint Connector" is not available to uninstall, I suggest running a system file checker to fix any possible corrupted system files that could be causing the error. Here is a link to how.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/use-t...

After running the system file checker, try to turn it off again in Control Panel.

Hoping this would fix this error. Feel free to reply to this email, and I'll be more than happy to assist you.

Hope it helps you. Please let me know if you still need further assistance.

    Regards,

  3. Completely remove multipoint server

    Hi John,

Thank you for your reply. There are three menu items Multipoint in the Start Menu>Programs:

    • MultiPoint Dashboard
    • MultiPoint Log Collector
    • MultiPoint Manager
    When I click the

    • MultiPoint Dashboard link in the Start Menu, there is no indication that anything happens, however the linked program, "%ProgramFiles%\Windows MultiPoint Server shows up in the Task Manager as running.
    • MultiPoint Manager selected from the Start Menu, brings up a small notification window that indicates that MultiPoint Manager is being accessed. It takes a long time for the error message to popup.
    • The final image below is a screen capture of the error message created by the Windows MultiPoint Server Manager when it fails to load.
Because I have no use for this App, I would like to remove it because it uses space and resources on my computer. This is even more important because it only comes up with error messages and then continues to try to run the App. I would like to know if
it is okay to remove the old fashioned way by ripping it out of both the program's location and both registries as a super user?

Thanks again for your help and advice.

Does MultiPoint Manager works in windows 10?

Does MultiPoint Manager works in windows 10? or only work in Windows server.

If not work in windows 10 then why you add in features "MultiPoint Connector".

It works just fine in Windows Server 2016 but not working in windows 10.
