Windows 10: Microsoft Windows on my son's PC does not recognize his email/account but xBox does when he...

My son is trying to switch login emails to a new alias his preferred personal e-mail address that has all of his Minecraft "stuff" vs. using my account. When logs in on his xBox to play minecraft it works fine and he can log in and play under his new account. However, when he tries to log into Windows on his PC to play Minecraft there, the Windows login does not recognize his email as an account. In addition, I am unable to control is screen time via Family Safety because right now his PC is not logged into any account. This is the bigger issue for me right now as he has trouble controlling

You might check using step 3 in Option Two of the tutorial below to see if your son's email is listed under your "Email & app accounts". If so, deleting it will remove it.

New Email Account for Xbox

Yes, you can transfer your son's Xbox account to a new email address and remove your email address from the account. To do this, you will need to follow these steps:



1. Sign in to your son's Xbox account using your email address and password.

2. Go to the "Settings" menu and select "Account."

3. Select "Sign-in, security & passkey."

4. Select "Change email address."

5. Follow the prompts to add your son's new email address and make it the primary email address for the account.

6. Once the new email address is added, you can remove your email address from the account by selecting "Remove" next to your email address.

7. Your son's gaming data and progress will remain intact, and he will be able to continue using his account with his new email address.



After removing your email address from your son's account, you can create a new Xbox account using your original email address. However, please note that any gaming data or progress associated with your son's account will not be transferred to your new account.

adding PC to son's list of devices on microsoft account

Hello My whole family is listed under family in microsoft. However, my son's account only lists the xbox as his device. I would like to add my PC to his list as well but I can't see how to do it. I've tried logging out of my entire computer settings
and logging him in but computer won't let me log him in as administrator of computer so I can't do it that way. Can you please let me know how to do this? I want to let both kids have the PC as a device so they can play together--one on Xbox and one on
