Windows 10: Microsoft Windows store closed immediately

I am trying to download Mendeley Cite plugin which is available only through Microsoft windows store and office store. I have windows 10 22h2 Build OS: 19045.2604. Microsoft store close immediately after being opened. I tried the following solutions: Resetting windows store cache data using wsreset.exeResetting package using Get-AppxPackage *Microsoft.WindowsStore* Reset-AppxPackageRemoving and installing the package using Get-AppXPackage *Microsoft.WindowsStore* Remove-AppXPackage and Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$

Microsoft App Store opens up and immediately closes.

I have tried everything you suggested and still cannot get the Microsoft Store app to work on my laptop. It opens for about 2 to 3 seconds and immediately closes. I have reinstalled Windows 10. I have tried going back to an earlier version of Windows
10. I have done multiple resets of the Microsoft Store app. I have rebooted my computer over a dozen times. None of this has helped. When I go into Settings and open Apps & Features, I can see the listing for the Microsoft Store app. It is showing that
the size of this app is 16.0 KB. Does this sound right? I would think an app like this would be much larger. I checked the size of the same app on my desk top computer and it is showing the size of the Microsoft Store app to be 1.6 MB. It looks like the
app is not installed correctly on my lap top. Is there a way to reinstall just the Microsoft Store app? Thanks again for your help.

 

Microsoft Store Closes Immediately After Opening

I'm John an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I'll be happy to assist you today. I understand you have a problem with Microsoft Store not working. Did you made any changes recently? When was the last time it's working properly?

**Run the troubleshooter:

Select the Start button, and then select Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot, and then from the list select Windows Store apps > Run the troubleshooter.

**Check the Microsoft Store Install Service

Press the Windows Key + S and type in services.msc.

Find the Microsoft Store Install Service and double click, If the status is Running, click Restart

If Disabled, change it to Automatic, click Start and click OK.

Uninstall the Store:

Press Windows key + X

Click and Run Windows PowerShell as Administrator

copy paste the command below then press Enter

get-appxpackage *WindowsStore* | remove-appxpackage

After that, proceed to reinstall Store

Reinstall the Store:

Press Windows key + X

Click and Run Windows PowerShell as Administrator

At the command prompt, copy-paste the following then hit Enter:

Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Launch again your MS Store

If doesn't work, Please proceed with the method below.

1. Press WIN+R to open Run then type: %appdata%

On the address bar, Click AppData > Local > Packages

2. In there look for the folder Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe and renamed it to Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe.old

If a pop-up dialog box appeared preventing you to rename the folder don't close it yet, Open Task Manager then find Microsoft Store on the list. Right click then End Task then immediately press Try Again on the dialog box.

Proceed to Reinstall the Store via Powershell

Restart your PC then Launch Microsoft Store
