Windows 10: Microsoft wireless 3050 keyboard/mouse automatically waking screen

The Microsoft wireless 3050 keyboard/mouse automatically wakes up my PC screen when it goes to sleep. I know it's the culprit because when I unplug the the transceiver the screen stays asleep. I purchased this keyboard and mouse specifically because the old 5050 combo I had did the same thing and I thought a different model would solve the problem. I've tried turning off the "allow this device to wake the computer" setting under the power management settings for the keyboard and mouse in Device Manager but the problem persists. I've also tried changing the USB port but that doesn't work eit

Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 3050 Hotkeys

I have a Microsoft wireless keyboard 3050. I have programmed the my favorite buttons (1-5) to open various files or folders. This only works intermittently sometimes switching to 'open items on task bar' function even though my settings in keyboard and mouse
center are set to 'open program, webpage or file'

Any suggestions?

Earlier this year I purchased a Microsoft Wireless 3050 keyboard and mouse combination. The mini USB trancievr stopped woring and I would like a replacement of that part thankyou. Christopher

How to stop mouse movement from waking the computer?

Thanks lgentry. I have a Microsoft wired keyboard and a Logitech wireless mouse. Under Device Manager>Keyboards it lists two "HID Keyboard Device"s and the Microsoft keyboard. Unchecking the "Allow this device to wake the computer" for the two HID keyboards fixed the problem as you suggested. Weird that one must prevent "keyboards" from waking the computer to in fact prevent the mouse from waking it.
