Windows 10: Microsoft Wireless Adapter App not working

I have just purchased a Microsoft 4K Wireless Adapter. Its currently working allowing me to view my extra display on the HP Laptop but the app is stating that there is no connected display. When I click on refresh I get nothing happening.

Laptop is on Windows 10 Enterprise Version 1709


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wireless Adapter not working

Method 1:

Step 1: Update network adapter driver from the device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand the Network adapters from the options.
• Right click on the wireless network card and select Update option.
• Restart the computer and check if the changes are effective.

Step 2: If the issue persist, I suggest you to uninstall the network adapter driver from the device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager from the options.
• Expand the Network adapters from the options.
• Right click on the wireless network card and select Uninstall.
• Restart the computer for automatic installation of network adapters and check if the changes are effective.

Miracast not working with Microsoft Wireless Display adapter

Hi Larry,

Disabled wireless frequency band is one of the possible reasons why this issue is happening. We recommend checking the band frequency settings. Follow the steps below:

• Open Device Manager.
  
• Double-click Network adapters to expand.
  
• Right-click the Wireless-AC Network Controller, then click Properties.
  
• Click Band in Advanced. Then set it to Auto
  and click OK.
  
• Check if your adapter could work now.
