    Hi,We are trying to use a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter v2 so that we can cast our notebook to a screen.We have plugged in the adapter to the TV and it is showing that it is ready to connect, but when we try to cast from the notebook it attempts to connect, even shows on the TV "username is trying to connect" but then nothing happens.No connection is made, it returns back to the "home" screen and on the notebook it says that it failed to connect.We have tried changing the notebooks Wi-Fi band to 2.4ghz and 5ghz, also tried reinstalling the Wi-Fi adapter but still it doesn't connect.The st

    Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter v2 - Devices not connecting

    Hi,

    We are trying to use a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter v2 so that we can cast our notebook to a screen.

    We have plugged in the adapter to the TV and it is showing that it is ready to connect, but when we try to cast from the notebook it attempts to connect, even shows on the TV "username is trying to connect" but then nothing happens.

    No connection is made, it returns back to the "home" screen and on the notebook it says that it failed to connect.

    We have tried changing the notebooks Wi-Fi band to 2.4ghz and 5ghz, also tried reinstalling the Wi-Fi adapter but still it doesn't connect.

    The strange thing is that it allows us to connect to the Wireless Display Adapter v2 with an Android device perfectly, just not the notebook which is running Windows 10 and is fully up to date.

    Does anyone have any suggestions on what we could try?

    Hi I have the Lumia 950xl and I connect it to my TV using the Microsoft wireless display adapter v2 and it connects and works fine BUT when I use the Microsoft wireless display adapter app it will say failed to connect try connecting again but I have refreshed
    uninstalled ect with no luck.has anyone got any advice?
