Windows 10: Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000/Comfort Keyboard 5050 lag and repeating keypresses, but not...

I have a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000 and Comfort Keyboard 5050 bought together as a "Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop 5050", using with my Dell Latitude 7420 laptop.Ever since I bought them, I noticed that from a cold boot, or after the machine resumes from "deep" sleep, the mouse would take a couple of seconds to respond, and the keyboard would do the same and then when it did respond it would often get 'stuck' and repeat the key press until I pressed ESC to stop it.This problem persists until I reboot the computer. I've found the only reliable workaround is to restart the computer. A

Slow/Lagging scrolling Wireless Comfort Desktop 5050 Keyboard/Mouse

I just received a new Wireless Comfort Desktop 5050 Keyboard/Mouse from Microsoft after exchanging my previous one. I noticed right away that the scrolling of the wheel is severely lagging what I'm seeing on the screen. My previous Wireless Comfort Desktop
5050 Keyboard/Mouse that I mailed back to Microsoft for this one did not have this severe of a lagging issue.

Along with that if I am scrolling thru a page, stop to read something for a minute, and go back to attempt to scroll sometimes it scrolls at a snails pace (when I'm scrolling normally) or doesn't scroll at all and I have to click the page I'm on as if to
wake it up. It will also sometimes scroll up when I'm scrolling down only for a few inches. I don't know why my previous mouse/keyboard didnt have this problem and this supposed new one does.

That makes 2 new keyboard/mouse I got from Microsoft that seemingly have been defective. Anybody have this issue with this keyboard/mouse and if so, is there a remedy? Thanks! And I do have the Keyboard & Mouse Center downloaded.

Terrible lag and jerk on Wireless 5000 mouse - Windows 10, Lenovo

I replace a prior MS Wireless Mouse and Keyboard yesterday with the Comfort 5050 Keyboard and Mouse set.

Keyboard works fine. The mouse has terrible lag.

I have:

• Downloaded the most current drivers.
• Changed the USB port to three different options.
• Changed batteries.
• Restarted multiple times.

My prior MS Wireless Mouse had worked fine until the rubber came off the scroll wheel. But it connected fine. However, this one does not.

Other suggestions before I return the item.
