Windows 10: Microsoft Wireless USB Keyboard/Mouse Dongle Still Prevents Computer from Sleeping

In reference to this thread Microsoft wireless 4000 mouse prevents auto sleep in Windows 8.1 - Microsoft Community, I can confirm that it still happens with all latest updates with the Sculpt Ergonomic Comfort.I spent a lot of time to figure out because there was no problem with Surface, only after switching to ThinkPad. Initially I thought it was display driver or some Lenovo utilities issue, only to find out it's the USB dongle preventing the machine from going into sleep.Strangely, if you set the sleep timer to 1-minute, it works.I hope Microsoft can release updated driver to be automatic

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

The Microsoft mouse and keyboard sets are specifically linked to that USB dongle, no other mouse will link up to that USB dongle, because it would be coded differently.

If you have Bluetooth on your PC, then you can buy a Bluetooth mouse, and that would not need any USB dongle to work, it is only a Wireless mouse that needs a USB dongle.

I have microsoft set keyboard and mouse 850. Mouse is not working now so I would like to change it for new one but I do not want to fill another usb with second dongle. Does anybody know if there exist some mouse that is compatible with dongle from microsoft wireless 850?
