Windows 10: Microsoft Xbox One controller for PC with windows 10 64-bit

Hello, I have a problem with my XBOX One controller on PC. It doesn't work after connecting it with an cable.
My computer doesn't even know, that a controller is connected. After opening the device manager, the controller isn't here. I tried re-connecting it many times. Even with another cable, and my second XBOX controller.

It would be really nice, if someone there knows, what should I do, to make the controller work.

Microsoft Xbox One Controller?

So a relatives bday is coming up... they want a Microsoft Xbox One Controller that will work for both Xbox and PC, preferably a special edition. I'm aware the "Wireless" adapter is coming out for the Xbox One Controller for Windows 10 (ONLY), but they'd also like it USB compatible.

I've looked around and found the generic controller

Microsoft Xbox One Controller + Cable for Windows ... obviously its for Windows.

and

Xbox One Limited Edition / Special Edition ... absolutely no information on Microsoft's website regarding PC compatibility. Also, are the Limited / Special Editions better quality / build than the previously linked standard controller? If they are, I could silkscreen/rubber coat it with identical designs as the special editions.
