Windows 10: "MicrosoftAccount/" prefix keeps getting added to username for a mapped Onedrive network...

Hey guys, I mapped my Onedrive as a network drive as to keep documents on that drive from downloading onto my hard drive. (You proably have seen the tutorials online (https://d.docs.live.net plus your CID number). I'm having a issue of every time I login into my computer (It is a Microsoft account I'm logging into), the network drive would fail to reconnect because \"MicrosoftAccount/\" prefix gets added before my username. I would have to delete this prefix everytime to sign in and everytime I remove it it reappears.

Notes: MicrosoftAccount:user keeps appearing in credential Manager and everytime I delete it, it reappears when I log back in.

I tried clearing out of the credentials in Credential Manager, signed in to my network drive and saved the credentials but next time I logged back in the prefix would come right back.

Windows 10 adds prefix connecting to network folder

I have connected a drive in Windows 10 to a WebDAV folder using the "Map Network Drive" dialog:





I checked "Reconnect at sign-in", entered my username and password, all worked. After a reboot however, the connection failed and the credentials form dialog popped up:





Windows had prepended MicrosoftAccount\ to my username, so the connection was failing. After removing MicrosoftAccount\ the connection succeeded again. This is annoying because it keeps happening at every login...

How to prevent Windows 10 from adding MicrosoftAccount\?

 

After upgrade I lost domain drive permission with MicrosoftAccount


I am an admin on my local System Center based domain ex: DomainName.local as frank123 user.
I have several servers and when in Win 8.1 I had seamless access using a workgroup based laptop with the same name. Ex: WorkgroupName = DomainName

Mainly use this workgroup method as local laptop admin so I can go from same DomainName.local domain setup on another server offsite during AD migration from 2012 to 2012 r2.

Same usernames same passwords.

Problem began when upgrading the laptop to Win 10 Pro. I upgraded from 8.1 Pro.

Suggestion to move logon to MicrosoftAccount\frank@msn.com was to get Cortana to work and use Windows Store Apps, one especially connecting to Application running on one Domain Controller server. I changed to MicrosoftAccount but user profile is still frank123 on every computer.

1. I can RDP by using frank123 username and existing password.
2. Can map drive in the same way.
3. Cannot write or create folders on any of the servers I am admin on.
4. Cannot recreate the frank123 as the Store App I use is very necessary. I now carry two laptops with one not changed from local frank123 to MicrosoftAccount.

I checked the only GPO regarding controlling use of MicrosoftAccount on servers but was not set.
I cannot change domain controller user's email away to above as its locked to L: frank123@DomainName.local

Does anyone know how to get Windows 10 Pro/Ent. to work with MicrosoftAccount (email based) logon in a client where admin rights previously worked?

Now I must go backwards from RDP to client to get things which is not really a seamless experience.

 

Mapped drive keeps on asking for credentials

This worked well but I now have an issue.

Using my Surface the mapped drive asks for the credentials and even though each time I change it and ask it to save the settings it on restarting the device asks the same question
Windows 10, surface 3 Wi-Fi.

It inserts before the user name the following “MicrosoftAccount/” so it shows MicrosoftAccount/ + my "username"

Deleting the “ MicrosoftAccount/ “ allows access, you do not need to retype the password.

This is then good for the duration of the powered-up session.
On restarting the device and attempting to use the mapped drive link, it again asks for the credentials with the inserted “ MicrosoftAccount/ “ before the user name.
Can you assist please
