Windows 10: Microsoft's Build for OpenJDK... Does/will WSUS support updates to this version of OpenJDK?

I see that Microsoft has developed its own flavor of OpenJDK and comes out with updates that seem to install via msi packages. I was wondering if WSUS currently supports or will support updating this adaptation of OpenJDK? If it will in the future, any ideas as to when?https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/java/openjdk/overview

Windows 10 is not showing OpenJDK 13

I have changed the system environment variables to:

C:\Program Files\Java\openjdk 13\bin

and delete the Program Data\jdk entry

But, when I try to verify the Java version via command prompt it still shows:

I realised the path should be : Java_Home c:\ProgramFiles\Java\openjdk\jdk_13.0.1\bin

but, it is still not giving me the java version and the latest error is

Error: Could not find or load main class version
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: version
Is there any step that I have missed?

 

Uninstall openJDK 12

I need to replace JDK 12 with JDK 8. However, I cannot figure out how to uninstall it. I searched a lot through the internet and everywhere they recommend just to use the common uninstall via apps. But JDK12 is not listed there. There was listed java 8 but it was the JRE. Also, for the installation, it is recommended to add JAVA_HOME variable and add Path to the bin/. As the JDK wasn't installed by me I wasn't sure it was done. So I did this procedure, but the JDK still isn't listed in the apps but available form the command line.

Automatic updates to free OpenJDK on Windows?

OpenJDK
is now maintained by the community, as Oracle has abandoned free support.
Updates are done by volunteers on an irregular schedule, so there is no mechanism
for automatic updates.

If you wish to alerted automatically when a new release is available,
you may use a free service that alerts by email when a webpage is updated,
such as for example visualping.

You could for example set up an alert for the github page of
ojdkbuild/ojdkbuild
(but the page may change in the future).
