I like this new business model Microsoft is going with. Your OS can only have so many patches, then it starts slowing down. Next you get patches having to interact with patches. So it's best to consolidate those patches together seamlessly into an entirely
    new operating system, Windows 10.

Microsoft Should Consider Slow and Fast Update Rings For Windows 10 Home Users

    Dear Microsoft Answers,

I think Microsoft should consider "Slow" and "Fast" update rings in a future update for Windows 10. The purpose of the selection of these rings for business users allows their organizations time to adjust their existing software, users, and platforms to
those updates. In contrast, home users of Windows 10 don't currently have slow and fast update rings options. However, many of these users still have legacy hardware on their computers, which some update patches may have problems. Slow update rings allow
Microsoft and users more time to get bugs out of updates. However, if home users want fast rings because they are developers, or don't mind working with bugs, at least these users would have that choice to select under Windows Update options.

I think it could only help and couldn't hurt!

with the internet, if they tell one group, it won;t be hard to find the details yourself. Kind if stupid for MS unless they plan NDAs for all their "business customers"

That is why all users should know what their updates are affecting.

  7. Would be nice if that were to come to pass -- but I strongly doubt it will. It's not going to be long, maybe only a few more months, before the Win10 installed base is over 100 Million -- with nearly all of those being the free Upgrade.

So, what are 100 Million folks going to do when MS decides to still NOT tell us details about Windows Update? Roll back to Win7 or Win8? I doubt it. The polls I've seen about satisfaction rates with Win10 vs. rolling back show a 90% or greater satisfaction with Win10.
