Windows 10: MIDI communication doesn't work inside pc anymore - Different extern and intern MIDI...

Hello everyone,All of sudden none of my extern or intern MIDI devices/software dont't work on my PC anymore. Either in my DAW music software or in different software, that uses MIDI none of my MIDI keyboards, interfaces and intern MIDI-Software like LoopMIDI don't show up anymore and communicate - No MIDI-Devices show up in software and it's Input and Output won't be recognised.I tested several devices E. g My MIDI Keyboard does show up in the device manager, I unistalled and reinstalled it, as well updatet its drives - doesn't solved the problemOn other PCs MIDI-Devices work fine.I think th

USB MIDI Audio Interface (M-Audio USB MIDI device) - not working in certain applications for MIDI Input.

I'm using Windows 10 Pro.

1) I have a MIDI keyboard connected to my desktop via a M-Audio USB MIDI Interface.

2) This device has worked before fine, but all-of-a-sudden, one of the apps I use to write music (Famitracker) suddenly will not open the MIDI Input. It's the same error I get when another application is using the MIDI controller at the same time - maybe
there is some service or application running in the background that is using the MIDI controller? If so, I can't figure out what it would be.

3) MIDI-OX (the software used to test MIDI input/output) also will not open the MIDI controller input. It says Unknown external error.

4) However, Finale V 25 detects the MIDI controller and I am able to use my MIDI keyboard just fine.

I would appreciate any help in this regard.

 

No MIDI support?

I am very happy with my new phone (Nokia Lumia 520), but I can't understand why MIDI support has been dropped from Windows phone. My old (2004) feature phone was capable of playing them as well as MP3 and other formats, and using them as ringtones as well
(without time/size limitation). MIDI files are very efficient storage-wise since they take very little space. I like having different ringtones for people in my contacts list and converting MIDI to MP3 turns an under 3MB MIDI library into a monster 400+MB
of shortened MP3 music/ringtones. Implementing a MIDI mapper/codec in a much more powerful "smartphone" shouldn't take a lot of room in the system software. Am I wrong thinking this?

 

Surface Pro 4 - Midi Connectivity

If possible, please do the following tests to further confirm whether it's the problem of the system itself or the problem of the MIDI device.

• Connect your current MIDI device to another Surface device/Windows computer to see if it works.
  
• Connect another MIDI device to the current computer to see if it works.
  

Additionally, if this Surface device is for work, I suggest you contact your IT department to help you figure it out, as each unit has its own unique security policy to secure the domain environment, that we cannot provide further technical support.
