Windows 10: **MIGHT HAVE** setted my maximum memory to zero

It went like this> I ran Win+r> Ran msconfig> in the boot section> in advanced option> I checked the maximum memory to 8 thousands something which was probably 8 ram and then click apply> Once again unchecked the maximum memory box to hopefully uncap my maximum memory since previously my pc was using only 4gb for some reason> It asked me to restart so I did> blue screens> Tried using recovery point but to no avail> Followed instruction on https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/set-maximum-memory-allowed-via-cmd-or-registry/3fe8b279-ce0a-4b1b-bdc2-c5

disable secure boot or uefi mode in bios , and restart windows .

then try your settings , if you enable using maximum memory ,your windows not bootable .

try with your risk

Hi Aidan,

We found that the Maximum Memory defaulting back to 0 is normal behavior. Whatever value is shown in Maximum Memory, so long as Maximum Memory checkbox is not ticked, the system will still use the full amount of memory installed.
