Windows 10: Migrated to SSD - Windows thinks old HDD is still there!

So, migrated to Crucial SSD in wife's laptop, no problem.

Boots in seconds - however when starting system restore, it thinks the old HDD is also still there.
It is in configure, the new SSD is there fine, but it also shows the old HDD.

I try to delete system restore on the old HDD in configure. Get an error, say OK and back to system restore, only SSD showing. Create restore point successfully.

Reboot, go to system restore, same as above.

So I can clear it, but every reboot it returns.

Any help gratefully received.

HOW TO BOOT MY OS ON SAMSUNG SSD MSATA 850 EVO

Hi Microsoft community,

I have a question regarding on how can I boot my os to my new ssd msata 850 evo.

I have a windows 10 OS, I already did the following below.

install Samsung migration software/migrate all my file from old HDD to SSD.

but my problem is my OS still boot in my old HDD. Both of my disk are installed in my laptop.

What is best solution to fixed my problem?

Is Windows RE used in Windows 10?

If I perform a clean install using a Win 10 ISO DVD on the SSD, will the install place a Recovery Partition on that drive? I would then re-run the migration software from the old HDD to recover files and apps. Currently I was able to get Windows RE on
the new SSD to find the recovery software in the Recovery Partition located on the old HDD.

 

An update. The old HDD has now disappeared from System Restore, and I have done nothing!!!
