Windows 10: Migrating only windows to my new SSD.

Hello,I've built my pc over a month now and I only had a HDD with windows 11 on it, I decided to get an SSD for faster performance as windows was stuttering in my HDD. Now the thing is that I wanna move only windows from my HDD to my new SSD, nothing else, no games, no big files. only windows so that I can benifit from my SSD speed.The issue is that my HDD is quiet full 742gb is being used out of 1tb and my SSD is only 250GB, I also dont wanna do a clean reinstallation because I have too much stuff to lose on my HDD, so is it possible to only move windows from my old HDD to my new SSD?

cool, so I just migrate windows using a clone software to my new ssd and it will work?

I did the Diskpart step that SWI2 explained in post #14 and rebooted, but I still see drive D having the system label.

 

Migrating Windows to a new SSD

So my old SSD card crashed and is no longer readable. After buying a new SSD I need to migrate my account to the new drive but cannot access my old SSD drive to get my key from CMD. How can I activate my windows account on the new drive without my old one working and no access to my Windows Product key? (that i am aware of)
