Migrating PDFs from my USB to my new SSD

I recently made a decision to buy a 2TB Samsung T7 in order to get actual long-term storage. I attempted to do so with two 1TB USB drives that I got over the course of 2 years before they each reached a certain limit, like 7-10% of their memory space, where I started experiencing some kind of error message, like a multi-volume error set message, a message that tells me that I can't open any new PDFs that I download, or some error message relating to corrupted files. Needless to say, I found out on this community that my problems were most likely because I was attempting to use a USB for long-t

  2. Migrating W10 from SSD to USB and then to new SSD

    Hi

Some months ago, I bought a new Custom-built PC with a 128G M2 SSD, where Windows lives. Over the months, this SSD has become too full with Program Installs to allow for Windows updates (where it needs to make another copy...). So I have bought a new Samsung
500G M2 SSD, and I'm now trying to migrate the Windows install across to that, while keeping all my program data intact (so, cloning the old SSD...). The Samsung Migration Magician will not copy the Windows install to USB, and my motherboard only has one M2
    slot.

Is there a way to clone my old SSD to USB, then back to the new SSD once in place on the motherboard? Or, failing that, is an SSD adaptor a good idea, so that I can run the two M2 SSDs together, and use the Magician to clone the old SSD to the new, then
    boot Windows from that?

    TIA for any advice...

how to migrate only the OS to a new SSD

Hi, you have two options. The first one: create a image backup of your system, then create a bootable USB/CD. Then shut down the computer and connect SSD. Go to BIOS when booting and change the boot type to USB drive. At last click repair your computer and
    restore with the image backup.

The second one is much eaiser, all you need is a system clone tool. However, you have to pay this tool.

For the detailed steps, go to see this article: Two ways to
    migrate Windows 7 to SSD
    without reinstalling Windows.
