Windows 10: migration assistant errors

I am attempting an information transfer from a windows pc to a Mac and the migration assistant on the pc fails and says "an error occurred while preparing your information for transfer"

Windows Migration Assistant won't run even though I've uninstalled Windows Mail. I've tried every suggested solution I can find on this site and nothing has worked...HELP!

 

Window Media Player shows migrate licence error.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Media player. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all
  option on the left panel.
• Run the Windows Media player DVD.

• Does it happen every time you use video call on Skype?
• Have you done any changes on your computer prior to the issue?
• Have you tried updating any drivers?
