  1. Minecraft Bedrock Edition Windows 10 is a SCAM

Finally broke down and bought another copy of minecraft so i no longer had to play split-screen with my wife. Up until recently we had 2 tvs and 2 ps4s and could play together no problem.

NO PROBLEM! wanted to make that clear

so now we've moved. No room for second tv. Second ps4 breaks down. At this point we were playing split screen and hating it; love minecraft but hate splitscreen play. So I finally decide to use my fancy, colourful, and expensive ray-tracing capable PC to play minecraft.

I love the Java version. It just works. The multiplayer is a little tricky to set up but totally worth it, especially with mods.

"but wait..." I hear all of you saying it already. Java version doesn't have cross play, the bedrock version does. I already know. I went back and forth a few years ago on whether i wanted a second ps4 copy or a pc copy for us to play together and since we only had one craptop crappy laptop and cross play wasn't a thing until a couple years later... yada yada yada... here we are now with me owning 4 copies of minecraft on two different platforms as well as Microsoft and Mojang saying, "Hey cross-play is here for everyone and it just works!"

    Bulls***.

Four days i have spent scouring forums and changing router settings, pc settings, account settings, ps4 settings, chair settings, someone even joked that it would probably work as soon as I shut off my PC.

    TL;DR

cross play with the ps4 is bull and even if it magically worked after i do 'x'.

IT SHOULDN'T BE THIS HARD! IT'S A GAME THAT KIDS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO PLAY EASILY!

Thats it. Just needed to get that out. Doubt i'll be trying to fix this anymore and i'll just eat the $40 CAD i spent and go back to not believeing a word Microsoft says...

    :)

  2. Minecraft Bedrock edition

    Hey there, cRz EmraldDrift

Welcome to the Microsoft Community forums.

I have just done a search on Minecraft Bedrock edition and could not find it. Are you sure it was Minecraft Bedrock edition, and not another edition of Minecraft?

I have also looked on your Xbox profile and found that you do not have Minecraft Bedrock Edition in the games you have played. You seem to have the following: Minecraft, Minecraft Xbox One Edition, and Minecraft Windows 10 Edition.

Please can you check to make sure it shows under My purchases on https://account.microsoft.com

    Regards,

  3. Minecraft Bedrock Edition

EDIT: It turns out the free offer ended 15 days ago ;(

    Hello MaliaT,

I myself bought Minecraft Java in 2013 and I am a proud Owner of Minecraft Bedrock since 2018.

So I can tell what you mean.

    First of all:

To redeem a code for Minecraft Bedrock, you must have bought Minecraft Java before the 19th October 2018 and you must have Windows 10 installed on your Computer.

Minecraft Bedrock is only available for Windows 10.

You can't install it on Windows 7 or even 8.1.

    To redeem the code:

    >Go to the Mojang website and login into your Mojang account (assuming you have one and you know your password)

    Link: Mojang Studios Account

    > click Redeem under Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition

    > you should be automatically sent to the Microsoft Store

    > click Redeem and enter the code

    > Now open the Microsoft Store App and search Minecraft: Windows 10 edition and install it

    > launch it after you installed it

Congratulations, you are now the proud owner of Minecraft Bedrock!
