Mindcraft Education Edition Eligibility Error

Getting the following error when trying to sign in to minecraft education edition.

"This account is not eligible to user Minecraft: Education Edition: For more information: http://education.minecraft.net/eligibility. Sign in with a different account"

I have tried with a teachers account and a student account. I can install. Assign Users but not run.

I can't find any other avenues in order to get assistance with this either.

 

Minecraft: Education Edition is running, but it won't show a running icon and start menu entry doesn't work as expected.

Here's a weird one for you:

One of my kids has M:EE through their school licensing program. It was working perfectly, with icons on start menu (pinned), desktop and taskbar (pinned). Searching in the start menu showed up properly... Then a Windows Update happened... All of a sudden the
M:EE icons disappeared. There was a blank icon space on the taskbar where once the glorious block was. This worked.

But, as you do, I attempted to fix the missing icon (as it is a problem if you're not expecting an app to run when clicking on a blank spot). I tried all sorts of problem solving, including resetting the
store, sfc /scannow, /healthrestore - all of it, and nothing worked. As I am also one of the school MS admins, I removed her license (after exporting all her worlds - thanks for that feature!) and tried re-installing from the store. Even though we have AutoLicence
on, it gave this error:

PUR-InsufficientPermission

So I reallocated a licence for her. Installed it (which worked this time) and I got an icon! I pinned it to the start menu, but when clicking on this icon, or the one in the programs listing, it takes me
to the Store's update page. When I launch it via the store (the only way), it runs, but no icon on the taskbar!



As you can guess, this has taken some time and is frustrating.

Any help would be appreciated.
