Windows 10: Minecraft for PC error - We tried to sign you in to your Microsoft Account, but something...

Hi,


My daughter recently asked me to play minecraft with her as she is bored in lockdown. I brought the game and have become very frustrated with this error. I have looked and there seems to be a lot of people that Microsoft have taken money from yet haven't really offered any fix for it.





I am signed into my MS account which is my O365 account as well. I am signed into the Microsoft Store and i can see the game in my Library installed. Upon launching the game from here, Minecraft opens and then when i try to sign in i get the above message.



What i have tried.


1. Restart of the PC several times

2. Total power off leave for 10mins start again

3. Found a a very helpful Youtube video and tried this it nearly worked but after doing the services.msc option i still got the same error 15 Fix: "Failed to sign in to your Microsoft Account" Minecraft Windows 10 - YouTube


Please can you help i know its only a game but for my daughters mental health at the moment i want to help anyway i can and playing this game with her will certainly help.

Cannot sign in microsoft account.

My device: Lumia 520. GDR2.
I cannot sign in my Microsoft account on my device. It didnt say any error but Microsoft account is not listed in Email and account list. When I click add button, it will show microsoft account option but after press sign in, it is still not shown in email
and account. Another problem is i cannot delete facebook account. Error code: 0x83cf1202. I have tried as suggested here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2475837/en-us#step0x83cf1202 but as my Microsoft account is not shown, I cannot do step 6.

Any suggestion?

In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the Version and Build of Windows 10 installed on the PC? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
• Are you facing this sign in issue with any other app?

• Are you aware of any changes on the PC prior to this issue?
  

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to perform the steps sequentially and check if you are able to access Minecraft Windows 10 edition.



Step 1: Run the Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter: Select the
Start button, and then select Settings>Update & Security
> Troubleshoot, and then from the list select Windows Store apps > Run the troubleshooter.



Step 2: Reset App

1. Press Windows + I key to open Windows
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Apps and select
   Apps & feature from the left pane.
   
3. Scroll and look for the Minecraft app.
   
4. Select the app and click on Advanced option.
   
5. Click on Reset and once you see a tick mark, then relaunch and check.
