Windows 10: Minecraft for Windows 10 sign in is asking for a purchase

Hi everyone


I have purchsed Minecraft for Win 10 in Sep 2017, confrimed by my MS order history and am trying to install this on a Win 10 PC just upgraded from win 8.1.


I am logged into Xbox live and Store.


When I open Minecraft and choose sign in it only gives me the option to buy the starter pack or the expert pack and no other options are availble. I assume that there was some update to Minecraft when these new packs were introduced but the older purchases are now not being recognised through the sign in processes. When I go to the store the starter and expert packs says I have to pay and when I click the link for the trial version it says "I own this". From this I gather it is now assuming the old purchases are "trial versions".


I have tried many a reboot, windows and app updates, uninstalls and log outs but the problem is the same.


The fix I want to make is purchsing the starter pack, I don't really mind too much paying again, I just want to be able to get this working. If you can ensure me it will work then I'll go ahead. Otherwise, if you are not sure but can reassure me I'll be refunded if it does not work then I'll be happy with that.

Minecraft Got Deleted After Clean Installating Windows 10 And Again Minecraft Purchased.

I think you did a Clean Installation of Windows 10 and Clean Installation will delete all your applications; games; and your user data such as music files, video files, pictures, documents, etc.



In order to get clarity on this issue and assist you with appropriate troubleshooting steps, please reply with the answers to the questions below.

1. From where did you purchase the Minecraft game?
   
2. Have you already installed Minecraft on your Windows 10 computer?
   

If you have purchased several copies of Minecraft from Mojang, then I suggest you to refer the
Mojang refunds policy and check their refund policy.



If you have purchased Minecraft from Microsoft Store, then I suggest you to refer
Returning items you bought from Microsoft Store for exchange or refund
and check if you can get a refund.



If you have purchased Minecraft from Oculus, then I suggest you to
Contact the Oculus Support Team and they will help you with this.

I understand that you purchased Minecraft for Windows 10 and you are receiving an option to buy the full game. If you purchased the game from the Microsoft store. I would request you to sign in with Microsoft account that was used to make the purchase.
I would also suggest you to check the order history to confirm if the purchase was for Windows PC or Xbox Device. If
the game is in trial version, then please follow the suggestions provided by Shafeeq khan in the thread:
Minecraft Windows 10 Version stuck in trial mode.



If you have purchased the full edition for windows Device and still being asked to purchase full game, then, you will need to get in touch with
Minecraft support so that they can help you.

Purchase prompt for Minecraft Starter collection for PC.

We understand your concern as you are getting a prompt to purchase Minecraft Starter Edition. In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below

• Where did you redeem the code?
  
• Where and when you are getting this purchase prompt?

However, we would like to inform you that Minecraft Bedrock Edition is not available in Microsoft Store. In Microsoft Store you will have the Minecraft Starter and Master collection.



If you have redeemed the code in Mojang website and installed the Bedrock edition from Mojang, then we will suggest you to reinstall the game from Mojang website and sign in with the same account, which was
used for redemption.



Minecraft Starter collection is all together a different game, which you have to purchase separately from Microsoft Store.



I would also suggest you to contact the Mojang support team for further assistance on this issue.
