    Minecraft for windows 10 will not launch


    Help! I can't get Minecraft for windows to launch on three different computers, I've tried everything, reinstalling it, on a different router, on a new computer with a fresh install, nothing works. It just gets to the Mojang screen and crashes to desktop.

    Homegroup For Minecraft Servers Or What?


    It looks as if the existing minecraft server will use the new system without modification - It needs to be able to access the computers on the network in a two way link, which is the standard for Workgroup and Homegroup

    There is a complete step by step available, if you have any issues ...

    It's not something I have any direct experience with but a quick read suggests to me that you will not need to do Much if any reconfiguration of the existing server

    • Do you get any error message or code?
    • Since when are you facing this issue?
    • Are you playing Minecraft game downloaded from Windows Store or the desktop version?
    If you are playing the desktop version then I suggest you to install the game in compatibility mode and check:

    Follow these steps to install the game in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

    a. Right-click on the game setup file and click on ‘properties’.

    b. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8.1/7 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the
    installation.

    c. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.

    You may also refer: Make older programs
    compatible with this version of Windows

    Note: Steps applies to Windows 10.
