Windows 10: Minecraft for Windows 10 will not update from version 1.13.105.0

Hi

I am trying to update Minecraft to the latest version using Microsoft Store, but it just keeps installing version 1.13.105.0, which mean I cannot connect to games with my family. I have tried various things to fix this: resetting the Minecraft app; resetting the Store app; resetting both together; uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft.

Store shows me there is an update and will continually download and install it if I leave it on the MInecraft page. However, it is just the same version over and over again.

Any advice on how to overcome this obstacle and get this install, so I can join games with my family?

Minecraft beta update rolling out, unifying versions of game

The Better Together update will be the first step in unifying versions of Minecraft for console, mobile and Windows 10. That means players on those platforms will be able to join each other in-game, create, cooperate or compete together on massive servers, and access whatever swish skins and Marketplace adventure maps they own on any of their compatible devices. Minecraft: Education Edition will launch November 1

As the 2016 school year gets underway, we are excited to announce the full version of Minecraft: Education Edition will be available to purchase in the Windows Store on November 1.

Since June 9, more than 35,000 students and educators around the world have utilized the early access program and provided feedback to help us fine-tune the experience across a diverse set of learning environments.

Minecraft: Education Edition is built based on feedback from the educator community and the features and capabilities they have told us are important to enhancing the learning experience. While we debuted several of these features with early access in June, we’re excited to roll out even more key capabilities on November 1, including:

Classroom Mode: A companion app for Minecraft: Education Edition that enables educators to manage world settings, communicate with students, give items and teleport students in the Minecraft world. It displays a map view of the Minecraft world, a list of all the students in the world, a set of world management settings and a chat window. There is even a Minecraft clock to show time of day in the world. Classroom Mode offers educators the ability to interact with students and manage settings from a central user interface.

New Minecraft game features: We will continue to update Minecraft: Education Edition to include new game features from other editions of Minecraft. All the latest updates to Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition beta will be included, such as leads and horses, additional player skins, pistons and the remainder of Redstone functionality and an updated user interface.

The complete version of Minecraft: Education Edition will be available for purchase on November 1 for $5 per user, per year, or through a district-wide licensing model.

Minecraft wont load with Windows 10

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to check the compatibility from the below:

Explore Windows 10 OS, Computers, Apps, & More | Microsoft

As the game is not compatible then you need to install the game in compatibility mode and check for the issue to do that you need to follow the steps provided below.

Locate the installer.exe or setup.exe file in your folder.

Right-click on the file.

From the contextual menu, choose Properties.

Under Compatibility tab. Choose the version of Windows you want to emulate.

Select the "Run this program in compatibility mode" checkbox. Run the installer
