    Minecraft for Windows 10 will not update


    When a player hits "play" in Minecraft, the statement "the realms have been updated, you must update your game" appears. The update does not appear in the Microsoft Store though it is in my list of purchased games. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game and I have uninstalled the game, reset the Microsoft Store app and reinstalled the game. I still receive the same statement in the game. When I search for the game in the Store, a download is attempted automatically. Once the download is complete, it automatically starts another download each time the download is complete until I pause the download.

    Homegroup For Minecraft Servers Or What?

    It looks as if the existing minecraft server will use the new system without modification - It needs to be able to access the computers on the network in a two way link, which is the standard for Workgroup and Homegroup

    There is a complete step by step available, if you have any issues ...

    It's not something I have any direct experience with but a quick read suggests to me that you will not need to do Much if any reconfiguration of the existing server

    Windows 10 fully updated. Mouse freezes now and then.

    It may or may not be related but disabling Windows Update sure is a mistake. Note yesterday's major global ransomware attack, as well as the Wannacry attack in May did NOT affect anyone who allowed Windows Update to keep Windows current.

    And to that, except for dial up users, Windows downloading updates should not affect anything you are doing as it steps way into the background. How much RAM do you have? What else is running?
    Why? Minecraft Doesn't Need Java Installed Anymore; It's Time to Uninstall Java.

    If me, I would uninstall ESET and run with Windows Defender and see what happens. If no change, you can always install ESET back, but frankly, I don't see any reason why.
