    I was gifted Minecraft by a friend on xbox while i play on pc. I had no problem redeeming the gift code, and it registered as minecraft for windows. When i download through the xbox app, i cant play since it tells me in need to buy another version to unlock the full game, wont allow me to sign in, and the microsoft store says i only have the trial version. i dont know why this is, and ive done everything ive seen online in other forums and nothing has worked. ive reset the microsoft store app and cleared the cache, ive uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, ive tried opening through the m

    I had a free Minecraft win10 version in my computer and I wanted to unlock the full version. But the question came from here, when I clicked the button Unlock Full Version, it asked me to enter a code as the format xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx should
    I buy the Minecraft gift card or the Microsoft card? I look forward to your reply and thank you for your suggestion.

    Purchased incorrect Minecraft version.

    On 10/14/2020 I accidentally bought Minecraft Java Addition with a $26.95 PC/MAC Minecraft gift card. I was expecting to buy Minecraft Windows 10. Is there any way to uninstall Minecraft Java Addition and use the original money on the gift card to install
    Minecraft Windows 10 on my Laptop.

    Reading the Mojang terms and conditions it reads:

    · Different editions of Minecraft are not interchangeable. If you have accidentally bought the wrong Minecraft edition, contact the appropriate support team for your console.

    I also contacted Mojang directly and the response is that since it was through a prepaid card they could not refund. I am not looking for a refund but rather and exchange to get the correct version for Windows 10

    Hopefully, this can be resolved easily, I look forward to your response.
