Windows 10: Minecraft for Windows not showing up on new PC

Hello,


I have Minecraft Windows 10 Edition Bedrock installed on a laptop. I can play the game as a full user, with an account etc. When I go to the Windows Store app it does not show up as an owned app however. I may have gotten this as a free upgrade - don't recall the details.


I recently purchased a new laptop and would like to use the Minecraft game on my new computer. I signed in to the new machine using the same Microsoft account login, and the microsoft store says I need to buy the game. How can I transfer my copy to my new computer?


I have already tried to reset the Windows store and confirmed that logins are the same. Appreciate any help.

Homegroup For Minecraft Servers Or What?

It looks as if the existing minecraft server will use the new system without modification - It needs to be able to access the computers on the network in a two way link, which is the standard for Workgroup and Homegroup

It's not something I have any direct experience with but a quick read suggests to me that you will not need to do Much if any reconfiguration of the existing server

 

Minecraft installation on PC

We understand the concern as you are unable to install Minecraft on your PC.
In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the Version and Build of Windows 10 installed on the PC? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
• What is the make and model of the PC?
• How are you installing the Minecraft game? (Microsoft Store/online)
• Did you purchase Minecraft Java edition or Windows edition?
• Are you getting any error message, while installing the game?
  

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to perform try these steps and check, if you are installing Minecraft Windows edition.

Step 1:
Reset the Windows Store Cache

Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the
Run dialog box, type wsreset.exe, and then select OK.

Note:
A blank Command Prompt window will open, and after about ten seconds the window will close and Microsoft Store will open automatically.

Step 2:
Run the Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter

Select the Start button, and then select Settings>Update & Security
> Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters, and then from the list select Windows Store apps > Run
the troubleshooter.

Cannot download Windows 10 Minecraft on new PC

I wanted to download Windows 10 Minecraft on my new PC, as I had gotten it for free a few years ago. When I went to download it, it said I had to buy it. I attempted to use my code listed on Mojang, but it said it was already redeemed (which I expected.).
I checked my order history on multiple accounts but Minecraft was never listed. It isn’t in my Library either. Does anyone have a fix for this?
