Windows 10: Minecraft: 'Lack of updated graphics drivers'

Hi,


It is about the game 'Minecraft'. It happens that when I try to start the game, I get an error saying that I have to update the graphics drivers, but the problem is that when I search for updates, Windows tells me that there are no updates and that all the graphics drivers are updated.

I tried the compatibility mode, I tried to increase hardware acceleration, and other things.

About two years ago I updated from 'Windows 7 Home' to 'Windows 10 Home'. This is the basic information of my computer:

Minecraft not working in Windows 10 asking to update drivers

Hi Emma,

As you are unable to play Minecraft after updating the drivers, I would like to ask some questions:

• What is the make and model of the computer?
• Is the game downloaded from Windows Store or are you using media?
• What is the complete error message/code?

I suggest you to go to the manufacturer website and check if the Graphic/Display drivers are available for Windows 10. If not, then download the latest drivers available and install the same in compatibility mode by following the steps provided below:

• 
  Download the setup files for the driver from the manufacturer website and save it on your local disk.
  
• 
  Right click on the setup file of the driver and select
  “Properties”.
  
• 
  Select “Compatibility” Tab.
  
• 
  Place a check mark next to“Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.
  
• 
  Let the driver install and then check thefunctionality.

Minecraft giving me lack of updated drivers

when I updated to windows 10 on july 30 I tried to run my minecraft and it kept poping up with an error "Lack of updated drivers" Then I went to intel to see if there is any updates and it says mine is up to date so something on mc is preventing me to
