Windows 10: Minecraft multiplayer grayed out

good evening.i bought 2 copys of minecraft for my kids. i made them Microsoft accounts. i made them part of my family group. i installed Minecraft on their computers.now multiplayer is greyed out and it says a setting isn't right.i went in on my MS account and navigated to the privacy setting and found that both kids account say that they can play the game on multiplayer. but if you log in to their account on their PC and go to their xbox privacy setting it shows that all their settings say multiplayer is blocked.i even changed one kids age to 20 years old and then removed him from the family

Minecraft Java multiplayer is grayed out on my son’s account. I’ve changed all the privacy settings, reinstalled the launcher and it’s still grayed out. What else do I need to do?

Check if you're not listed as a child in any family group. You can do this by going to the Microsoft account website and then signing in with your Microsoft account. Click on "Family settings" and under "Your family", make sure you're not listed as a child. If you see yourself listed, click "Remove" and confirm removal.

If removing yourself didn't work try contacting Mojang support by searching the Mojang Support website online. They might have additional troubleshooting steps or insights specific to your situation.

As a last resort, you can consider creating a new adult Microsoft account specifically for playing Minecraft multiplayer. This would allow you to bypass family restrictions related to multiplayer. Make sure to transfer any important purchases or data associated with your current account before creating a new one.
