Windows 10: Minecraft optifine is running off of my integrated graphics card how do I change this so it...

I am currently trying to get Minecraft to work on my new laptop. I've been able to get 1.2 version of Minecraft to work by going through files and selecting javaw i don't remember if it was that file but I believe it was and having it run off my 40 series instead of my integrated graphics. Now optifine on the other hand wont work like normal minecraft and isn't letting me change it.

WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR when playing Minecraft (Optifine/Fabrics)

I've recently run into the problem that whenever I play Minecraft (either Optifine or Fabrics) after a while playing my PC gives me the BSOD with the WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR. This problem only occurs when I play with Optifine or Fabrics, but whenever I play Minecraft without mods it doesn't run into this problem. Also playing other games seems to be no problem for my PC. I've tried different fixes; from running diagnostics and changing the Java running system for Minecraft, but whatever I seem to be doing seems not to be able to fix the problem.

Minecraft graphics card issue

A lot of people are being seduced into installing Win10 on machines that are too old (a release date around May '05

for the Intel 82945G Express Chipset Family), because of MS's 'free' offer .

You did well to run Minecraft at all with an integrated graphics (GMA 950) of that vintage,

and I would have been somewhat surprised that driver support didn't stop with Vista.

- Unfortunately you cannot upgrade integrated graphics, and if you are using a laptop you cannot install

a dedicated graphics card.

If you are using a desktop PC you also need to verify the power supply has adequate watts/amps for whichever

graphics card you install.

You also need to verify the motherboard has PCIe rather than AGP graphics slots.

- Why only Minecraft ? Perhaps the other games you have installed have lower requirements.

eg- 'Point and click' style games with static, or mostly static, 2D screens may look nice, but don't require

much processing. Minecraft may look basic, but can be more system intensive than it looks.
