Windows 10: Minecraft Windows 10: Can no longer download after clean install.

I've been an owner of Minecraft: Java Edition for 4+ years. Back when the Windows 10 beta came out, I redeemed my download code that came with the Java edition and got the Windows 10 edition. I had a lot of fun with it. After the Windows 10 edition went out of Beta, I downloaded the official release, since it was still synced up to my Microsoft account. It worked great for a couple of years. My family did a clean install of Windows a few months ago. I haven't tried to download Minecraft until now, but I no longer see Minecraft: Windows 10 in My Library > All Owned.

Unfortunately none of that worked. I also tried contacting Microsoft support, but they didn't believe me. Even though my account still has achievements from when I owned the game three years ago, they think that I have "never" owned it. I would state the date on these achievements, but unfortunately the "Go to your Xbox profile" button is taking me toaccount.xbox.com and then redirecting tothis support page. You guys might want to look into that.


The timing on this seems suspicious, since Mojang owned by Microsoft ended the program where Java Edition owners can get the Windows 10 edition for free just a week ago. Was there some hiccup when they ended the program that caused me to lose my copy? Perhaps they intended for people like me to be grandfathered in and aren't aware that it isn't working?

Minecraft Got Deleted After Clean Installating Windows 10 And Again Minecraft Purchased.

I think you did a Clean Installation of Windows 10 and Clean Installation will delete all your applications; games; and your user data such as music files, video files, pictures, documents, etc.



In order to get clarity on this issue and assist you with appropriate troubleshooting steps, please reply with the answers to the questions below.

1. From where did you purchase the Minecraft game?
   
2. Have you already installed Minecraft on your Windows 10 computer?
   

If you have purchased several copies of Minecraft from Mojang, then I suggest you to refer the
Mojang refunds policy and check their refund policy.



If you have purchased Minecraft from Microsoft Store, then I suggest you to refer
Returning items you bought from Microsoft Store for exchange or refund
and check if you can get a refund.



If you have purchased Minecraft from Oculus, then I suggest you to
Contact the Oculus Support Team and they will help you with this.

Clean Windows 10 (?PRO?) install

I have bought a legit "Windows 10 Pro" key of a key website. It is legit since i'm currently using it for over a year now. I currently have Windows 10 Pro installed on my PC and I want to do a clean install. I just can't find the windows 10 Pro download in the tool. But if i could use a windows 10 pro key with a normal windows 10 install, I'll be good to go.

 

Windows 10 forced download

To stop the download, uninstall the KB3035583 update (under "Control Panel > Windows Update > Installed Updates").


To get rid of the C:\$Windows.~BT folder:

• Right-click on your C: drive.
• Select "Properties".
• Click on [ Disk Cleanup ]
• After the initial scan: If you have a [ Clean up system files ] button, click it and wait for the second scan to finish.
• Scroll down the list and look for "Temporary Windows installation files" (its size should be in the gigabytes range); check the box.
• Click on [ OK ] to start the clean-up.
