Windows 10: MineCraft Windows 10 Ray Tracing

When Minecraft put out an update that added ray tracing to the game it has made my game unplayable. The menu for the game is very glitchy and it takes over 40 minutes to get into the game then into a world compared to the manageable 10 minutes I usually have. I am on a home desktop and not a good pc but I also cannot get the graphics card to even get the ray tracing and make this issue go away. I could play Minecraft on my Xbox but I prefer the windows 10 edition with mouse and keyboard. If someone could tell me if I can get my game back to normal again that would be great.

I cant uninstall ray tracing!!!!!!!!!!

I can't uninstall the Ray Tracing minecraft beta. I am trying to uninstall it because my gpu was not powerful enough to run it. I have tried uninstalling minecraft through widows powershell and everything. I really just want to play the game that I bought
for $30. I even deleted my Xbox Insider Hub Account and uninstalled the app. Plz help me.

I think you would have to just uninstall all Minecraft and then install the standard Windows 10 version again. You say that you uninstalled the App. How did you uninstall it?

You should be able to just find it in Settings Apps. If this is what you did, try installing Micecraft again. This time use the Advanced button after it is installed to Reset it, which should delete all data from your computer.

Possibly you will find something similar in the Xbox Insider Hub App or under Gaming Services App if you have that. Maybe the Ray Tracing part is under App add-ons and downloadable content and you have to remove it from there.

It sounds like Minecraft has its own method of backing up your game and world, so hopefully you did that before trying the Ray Tracing Beta.

 

Homegroup For Minecraft Servers Or What?

It looks as if the existing minecraft server will use the new system without modification - It needs to be able to access the computers on the network in a two way link, which is the standard for Workgroup and Homegroup

It's not something I have any direct experience with but a quick read suggests to me that you will not need to do Much if any reconfiguration of the existing server
