Windows 10: Minecraft Windows 10 Version Not In Library

I gifted my friend Minecraft Windows 10 Starter Collection the other day, but they have been unable to install it. She received none of the items in the collection, including the game, even though she redeemed the code under her account.

The next day, she starts up Minecraft on iOS, and she has all the free stuff; Minecoins, textures, etc. But she still doesn't have the game on Windows 10. The store page keeps saying "Buy". NOTE: The day before, she had to update Windows 10 because the "Install/Play" would just take her to the Minecraft Starter Collection for Xbox page EVERY TIME.

We tried downloading the "trial" of Minecraft Windows 10, but she couldn't even log in to her account in game.

On both the Microsoft Store AND browser, it doesn't let her Install, it only has "Buy" as an option, even though the Starter Collection is in her Account purchase history.

TLDR; Minecraft Windows 10 Starter Collection gave my friend everything BUT the game itself. Every solution doesn't work.

We've tried EVERYTHING. We've done practically every solution. Nothing works. We cannot get the game to show up in her library, nor will it let her sign into her account in game, and even when it miraculously does, it says "You Need to Purchase the Full Game".


What are we supposed to do? And, no, I can't my $30 back.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Homegroup For Minecraft Servers Or What?

It looks as if the existing minecraft server will use the new system without modification - It needs to be able to access the computers on the network in a two way link, which is the standard for Workgroup and Homegroup

It's not something I have any direct experience with but a quick read suggests to me that you will not need to do Much if any reconfiguration of the existing server
