Windows 10: Minecraft Windows 10

Hi, so I have an issue. I own Minecraft Java edition and have had it for 5 years. I put the game on my new laptop I am using with the same account on it. My friends told me that I can get Windows 10 Edition Minecraft for free since I already own Java edition. I have been trying to figure out how to get Windows 10 edition without having to pay but nothing I have seen has worked for me. I have went on Mojang.com, but it only shows Java edition, no Windows 10 edition to download like I have seen in videos relating to this subject. I have went on the Microsoft Store while being logged into my Minecraft account and I don't see it available for free download. Another thing to note is that when I go onto my Xbox account, it doesn't show Minecraft as one of my owned games, not sure if that matters, but I do own it on my computer. I have had this game since 2015 and I really just want to play with friends.

Homegroup For Minecraft Servers Or What?

It looks as if the existing minecraft server will use the new system without modification - It needs to be able to access the computers on the network in a two way link, which is the standard for Workgroup and Homegroup

It's not something I have any direct experience with but a quick read suggests to me that you will not need to do Much if any reconfiguration of the existing server
