Windows 10: Minecraft Windows 10

I bought Minecraft Windows 10 today. I already own Java. I went to the microsoft store, bought it, and then downloaded it. I then stepped away from my computer and then went back when the installation was complete. When I got back it said it was done but when I tried to launch it from the store it just asked me if I wanted to install it again. And when I tried that it just takes me in an endless loop where the game never launches. I then went to my minecraft launcher to see if it was there and the only thing in there to launch is Java. Help me launch the Windows 10 version!

Homegroup For Minecraft Servers Or What?

It looks as if the existing minecraft server will use the new system without modification - It needs to be able to access the computers on the network in a two way link, which is the standard for Workgroup and Homegroup

It's not something I have any direct experience with but a quick read suggests to me that you will not need to do Much if any reconfiguration of the existing server

 

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
