Windows 10: Minecraft windows 10

Hi, so I brought minecraft java in 2013. Cut forward to 2017 when I got a new gaming pc and my daughter got a xbox one with minecraft. When I installed minecraft java it said I could download and play Windows 10 version, which I did so I could play with my daughter. All has been fine. Then I found out about the account migration so I was checking my accounts and it doesn't say that I have purchased Windows 10 on my Microsoft account, and it doesn't say I have purchased java on y mojang account. But I can log in and play both versions. I'm just worried I'm going to get locked out of both some time soon.

Homegroup For Minecraft Servers Or What?

It looks as if the existing minecraft server will use the new system without modification - It needs to be able to access the computers on the network in a two way link, which is the standard for Workgroup and Homegroup

It's not something I have any direct experience with but a quick read suggests to me that you will not need to do Much if any reconfiguration of the existing server

 

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
