Windows 10: "Mini player" not showing up in Windows 11

Hi, I just Upgraded to Windows 11 to see if it was actually worth it and so far my experience is pretty alright, although one thing was bugging me was the missing Mini player that should appear alongside your volume bar when you're listening to music/playing a video. Is there any possible way to solve this issue? It's quite a hassle for me to just Alt+tab in steam games particularly the ones that use the Source engine because for some apparent reason, whenever i alt tab my screen just goes haywire, going in and out of both the game and the home screen for a short time until it returns to norma

Windows 10 (version 1903) mini player window

It appears that the mini-player that appears on the top-left corner when I pause sound playback on TIDAL is a new feature of Windows 10, v.1903. I have impression that this feature has completely messed up with the multimedia keys (play/pause, previous/next) of my keyboard:

1. Now the multimedia keys seem to work only when the app that does the playback is in focus
   
2. Even so, very often the mini-player shows that the resume playback command has been registered but it is not propagated onto the playback app
   
3. In general, the play/pause behaviour is erratic, hence the abundance of the word "seems/appears" in my question.
   

Has anyone come across issues with the multimedia keys? Is this Windows mini-player configurable? Can it be altogether disabled?

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Media player. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all
  option on the left panel.
• Run the Windows Media player DVD.

Windows Media Player 11 Too Dark

Same Problem

My media player 10 worked perfectly until windows update gave me media player 11. I had the same dark/purple videos showing up as well. I uninstalled 11 and went back to 10, uninstalled my k-lite codec pack and reinstalled it, but I still have the same problem! Anybody know what this is?
