Windows 10: Miniport "Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter shutting off my system, what to do?

Hello, I'm constantly getting the error message shown above. The error is characterized by the fact that the laptop switches to sleep mode when under load and can only be switched on again using the power button. In most cases, it even requires several attempts, since it switches itself off again immediately when it is switched on. After successfully turning it back on, all apps are still open without any loss. According to the Windows event viewer, this is the only error noted. I have already completely uninstalled and reinstalled the driver downloaded directly from the manufacturer and the

Microsoft Hosted Network Virtual Adapter is used for creating portable

hotspot on PC. Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter is used once two Wi-Fi

direct devices are paired using Windows Pairing experience user

interface.

To help you suggest more steps to resolve the issue, I would appreciate if

you could answer the following questions:

1. Which operating system was installed prior to Windows 10?

2. Are you

able to connect to the Internet using wireless connection?

made any recent hardware or software changes to your computer prior to the

Follow the below methods and check the issue:

a. Go to command prompt

as admin and type as “netsh wlan stop hostednetwork” (without no

quotes).

b. Then type this “netsh wlan set hostednetwork

mode=disallow”.

Reference: It disables the service and the Microsoft wifi miniport is gone.

For some reason its mode gets set to allow instated of disallow and when you

uninstall it reappears and messes up the networking, example, printers, wifi

routers, etc.

Wi-Fi virtual adapter

I am unable to create a wi-fi hotspot on my laptop (HP pavillion ab-032tx model) after upgrading to windows 10. I cannot find Microsoft WI-Fi direct Virtual adapter in the listed adapters (control pannel->network sharing center) . However Microsoft Wi-Fi
direct Virtual adapter and Microsoft Wi-Fi direct Virtual adapter #2 are listed in hidden drivers (device manager-> view tab, faded icons). Upon checking for hardware changes, there are no unkown devices being shown. Microsoft Wi-Fi direct Virtual adapter
#3 is also found in the view tab , but its icon is not faded. All my drivers are updated. Still i am unable to create a hotspot. Pl help me with the same.
