Windows 10: Mirror Margins in MS Word - unwanted blank pages inserted into document.

Hello,I have set up a lengthy document with mirror margins as it will be printed double-sided with a spiral binding. Pages 3 and 5 are blank pages inserted by MS Word near the beginning of the document, but I do not require them, I simply want the visible pages printed double-sided with mirror margins through-out. The visible pages are 1, 2, 4 ,6, 7, 8 then consecutively up to page 210 that is 208 visible pages.I used to delete the two extra pages once the document was converted to a pdf, but that was using normal margins. I have applied mirror margins to an existing 204 page document that will be printed double-sided. The page numbering starts on page four of the document, but since applying mirror margins the page count has gone up to 207, this seems to be because the
first three unnumbered pages appear to have been counted twice. The document looks the same on the screen so my question is, when it comes to printing, will there be blank page inserted after each of the three unnumbered pages at the front of the document?
How can I have mirror margins and the correct number of pages, which in this case is 204?

Your first 3 pages are all Odd numbered. That is where the extra "pages" are coming from. That suggests to me that you have section breaks between them that are set to "Odd Page".

Page Margins

When I open a word document, the cursor is way up high to the extreme left hand side. I then choose my margins and ask for it to default to my margin choices, choose apply, override the warning and choose ok. Still the margins are way, way out unless I choose
a preset margin. How can I make my choice and make it stick until I choose to change and not be faced with the unworkable margin on each new word document?
