Windows 10: Missing "Add Comment" button in Steps Recorder after upgrade to Windows 11 Enterprise 22H2

Always used the "Add Comment" button while recording steps in "Steps Recorder". The "Add Comment" being available during recording allows to add information which is available on each specific step. Another advantage of having the "Add Comment" button while recording the steps is that you have control on when you need the screenshot to be taken, this is a huge advantage for us.Many of our colleagues would like to have a way to add comments during the steps recording session and also having control on the time when each screenshot is added to the recording.

Problems Step Recorder (PSR.exe) & AppCompat registry missing?

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows
AppCompat is not listed at all
C:\Windows\System32 missing PSR.exe

Is there a way to download the Problems Step Recorder (PSR.exe) program?

Windows 10 enterprise
company computer
security says they are not blocking it with gpo

 

Steps Recorder there... but not there

I seemed to have been saved by a link to this fix:
Please use regedit to rename hklm\software\policies\microsoft\windows\AppCompat - changeAppCompat to AppCompat_HOLD . Then try launching PSR again.
Tried it and now Steps Recorder seems to be working as it should.
But to follow up on your suggestion, I'm going to try to find and repair the corrupt files that my sfc scan found... after setting a restore point!
