  1. Missing Administrator permissions

I really need some help with Administrator permissions, I can do some things but not all of them. Run As Administrator doesn't work and Command Prompt blocks me from doing certain commands.

    Tips that didn't work:

Going to Netplwiz and making my user Administrator | I already am.

Anything that requires 'Run as Administrator' | Whenever I try to click it, my cursor shows the blue circle thing to indicate something is loading, and then nothing happens.

Entering in net user administrator /active: yes,| Access is denied, this goes for net user administrator /active:no as well.

checking net user (my username) to see if I really am Administrator | I am.

    sfc /scannow | Access denied.

Checking if the reason to why I can't run as Administrator is because it was already running in the background and I need to use Task Manager to close it | Nope, not that. I tested running as Administrator in Premiere Pro, Chrome, Edge, Netflix, Calibrate Display Color, my autoclicker, Minecraft, OBS, everything has the same result.

Restart my computer | Done that.

Going into Control Panel, User Accounts, Change Your Account Type | Nope, as I said, I already am Administrator, and I can't even disable that, it's forced on.

Going into Control Panel, User Accounts, Choose when to be notified about changes on your computer | Doesn't work either, if I bring it up or down, nothing happens.

Right-click on the program and select Open file location, right-click on the program and click Properties, click the Compatibility tab, under the Settings section, uncheck Run this program as an administrator. | This actually does work on certain things, but not all of them. Such as Command Prompt, if I try enable the option there, it still says 'access denied' on the same inputs.

Press Windows key and X at the same time, choose Command Prompt (Admin) from the context menu, n the command prompt, type sfc /scannow and hit Enter, xit command prompt. | Command Prompt is not an available option when pressing the Windows key + X

Check your antivirus software | Not the issue, I disabled AVG (the antivirus I use and have turned on) and nothing changed.

    What do I do?

    Missing Administrator permissions

You'll need to provide administrator permission to copy this file

    Hi,

Follow the Steps below and check if that helps.

As you are unable to transfer some files from an external hard drive to the computer requesting for Administrator permissions, I suggest you to follow the steps provided below to provide administrator permissions to the particular folder and check if it
    helps.

    • Right click on the folder and select
      Properties.
    • Click on Edit button in Properties windows. Click ok to confirm UAC elevation request.
    • Select user/group from permission windows or click
Add to add other user or group.
    • Now under Permission section check the rights which you want to grant i.e. check “Full Control” under the “Allow” column to assign full access rights control permissions. (Generally we add ‘Everyone’ to given permission to all
      the users on the computer).
    • Edit the permission to Full Control for ‘Everyone’.
    • Click OK for changes to take effect and click ok again to exit from Properties window.

Do let us know if you are able to transfer files to PC. Thank you.
