Windows 10: Missing Codec 0xc00d5212

I am using the editing software Shotcut and want to use the reverse function. Though the first job is completed the second is not. A mov. file gets saved on my laptop but when I try to play it a I get a Missing Codec 0xc00d5212 message saying, "This item was encoded in a format that is not supported.

I tried using VLC media player, registry fixers and everything else.

All I want is for the Reverse function to work, so if someone could help please do.

I visited the web site you suggested and discovered that Apple no longer supports QuickTime for Windows. Therefore I do not wish to download this software! I am trying to solve my issues with the
Missing codec error 0xc00d5212 so that I can remove the videos from my iPad but still be able to view them. Thank you for all the suggestions you have provided.

I have tried to play videos that I have recorded on my iPad & transferred to PC but I get the above code. I have tried to open hem in Window Media Player, Films & TV, & VLC formats plus iTunes.

I already have VLC installed on my PC and have tried opening my videos in that software but no luck! I have also tried Films & TV, Windows Media Player & iTunes & get the Codec Missing message. In the meantime, I have copied the 3 videos that I am trying
to open on my HP PC to a Dell PC & they play in Films & TV!
