Windows 10: Missing Com ports in Windows 11

Hi there, I have a new HP laptop running Windows 11 Home. It has a AMD Ryzen 3 3250U 2.6GHz with 8GB ram and x64-based processor. I am trying to flash a firmware update onto a cnc via USB but I need to connect to an available Com port. Unfortunately, nothing comes up in the list of com ports. I did some research on various forums and read something about going into Device Manager, clicking actions and adding 'legacy hardware'. A variety of com ports were available including HP and Windows but after adding, I received the dreaded yellow sign with exclamation mark with

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Printer ports missing

Windows 10

I have had 3 windows 10 computers with this recent problem. The printer ports list is incomplete with missing "created by me local ports" (standard ports are visible and fine). If I try to add a missing port back in the list I get a message the port already
exists. Yet I cannot assign a missing port to a printer. Happens after a reboot from update (1903) or power outage (after 1903 update) Update 2004 does not fix the problem. ty

 

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
