Windows 10: Missing: Desktop, Pictures, and Document folders because I uninstalled onedrive

Tried just about all suggestions I have found on this forum. None work or the items I need to click on are no longer there. I removed onedrive after backing up all my stuff. After rebooting the quick link menu no longer has these 3 folders: Documents, Pictures, and the Desktop "folder". All 3 have the correct entry in the registry; they appear exactly as Music/Videos/Downloads but are still missing from HOME/Quick access There are a lot of suggestions that no longer apply due to updates to W11 I guess but I have tried everything else. TYIA

Onedrive is uninstalled but it's controlling Documents folder

 

OneDrive moved my Desktop into a OneDrive folder and removed Google Drive

To revert the shell folder locations to default, open OneDrive and do the following:

Important: Before proceeding, copy the files in those special folders to another folder or external drive. Please don’t copy them anywhere under Desktop/Documents/Pictures. This is because disabling OneDrive backup for a folder would erase the local copies of the files. Copying them to a different location beforehand will ensure that you don’t need to download them again from the OneDrive cloud.

1. Right-click the OneDrive icon in the Notification area and click Settings.
   
2. Select the Backup tab, and click Manage Backup
   
3. In the Manage folder backup dialog, click on the Stop backup link under the special folder (Desktop, Documents, or Pictures)
   
4. Click Stop backup in the confirmation dialog that appears.
   
5. Repeat the step for each shell folder you want to revert to the original location.

I dont know how any of the above are related to my case as onedrive is uninstalled in my pc. I tried to solve the issue with the "Can't move the folder because there is a folder in the same location that can't be redirected. Access is denied." by changing the registry value of Document folder to %USERPROFILE%\Documents. Then I manually copied all files from onedrive\Documents folder to the original location and wiped the onedrive\Documents folder I hope this will solve and but I wonder if any future update will undo what I did and revert my Documents folder to onedrive again. The Document folder is the default destination folder for many programs I use. So my fear of installing back and running onedrive just to be able to configure it is that it will start syncing files to the cloud no matter what, then new problems will occur later from cloud to original document folder. Like files missing, etc... - - - Updated - - -

As I was writing my last reply I saw your post now. Yes, the entry was exactly as you've described. So I changed registry value of Document folder to %USERPROFILE%\Documents. Then I manually copied all files from onedrive\Documents folder to the original location and wiped the onedrive\Documents folder. Did I do it correctly manually restoring the documents folder? If not, I can restore to a previous c: image and re-do it differently.
