Windows 10: Missing DIFxAPI file

Trying to assist my sister. She recently purchased Surface Pro X WIndows 10 Home - 64 Bit


After logging into her account she ran and installed all of the updates for WIndows


She is trying to install software for her HP laserjet pro M28.

She gets installation error regarding the DIFxAPI

She did download the correct installation file for the printer.


She checked the System32 folder that specific file is missing.


She ran sfc /scannow and it did not show any errors.


What would resolution be for this issue?


Is it possible that the OS is corrupt?

Burning Files To cdr

I tried to drag a .txt file to the burn list, as suggested above, but it will not drop in. I get a message "+add to burn list" but I cannot get it to drop into the burn list. Is there another step I am missing?

 

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

• What task are you trying to do every time that you get the error code “missing file rtl160.bpl?”
