Windows 10: missing drivers after upgrade to SSD for Win 10 Pro for home computer, plse help solve!!!!

Recently had SSD installed on hp 8000 elite slim [64 bit Intel {R} Core{TM}2 Duo CPU E8400 @3.00GHZ. In Dev mgr under other devices PCI Serial Port/yellow exclamation mark /VEN-8086&DEv_2E17&subsys_3646103C&Rev_03/3&b 1bfb68&0&1B and PCI Simple Communication Controller/ yellow exclamation/ Ven-8086&Dev_2E14&subsys_3646103c&Rev_03/3&b 1bfb68&0&18 both require further installation

Upgrade from Win 10-32bit to Win 10-64bit using a new SSD boot drive

What are the steps to no cost upgrade to 64-bit Windows 10 while swapping out the boot HHD to a SSD. I have a Dell T3400 Precision Desktop computer with Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor. My current boot drive is a WD Raptor and has already been upgraded
from Win 7 Pro 32 bit to Win 10 32-bit. From what I've read so far the steps appear to be:

1. Clone the Raptor HHD to the SSD.

2. Install the SSD to be sure it works properly and windows is still activated.

3. Perform the Custom Install from the ISO media (DVD) and select keep no data (for a clean install).

Is this correct or am I missing something or is there s simpler way to do it?

 

MISSING OPERATING SYSTEM (Upgrade from Win 8.1 Pro to Win 10 ...... using SSD as Primary Drive (existing 8.1 Pro Win installed)

Hi Everyone,

Just had a 'journey' of upgrading Win 8.1 Pro to Win 10.

Now I am left with an un-usable laptop with an error of "Missing Operating System' upon booting. All caused by the upgrade process.

My computer is a i3, with a SSD as a primary drive.

I took the SSD out of my i3, and put it into a External USB enclosure to check to see if the 'data' is still available on the 'C' primary partition?

NO data available. The only option via my i7, win 7 computer (where the external usb is plugged into) is to 'format' this drive!!!!!!

Questions:

Can I get back to my Win 8.1 Pro? I have original disc with Product key (32 bit) if needed for a 'fresh' install. I tried to 'fix' the drive using the Win 8 32 bit disc, but it keeps saying the drive is 'locked' and can not help me, the same with any option,
apart from a 'new/fresh' install via this disc. Which I have not tried as yet, because I would like some access to my files (if I can) before attempting a fresh install again (investment of time).

Can I have any access to my files?

How can I do a 'fresh' install of Win 10, if this will work for a SSD?

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:

• Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
• Try different keyboard or mouse.
• Restart computer, repeatedly.
• Google for related issues.
• Update Bios, because why not.
• Create boot media and revert to windows 7.

The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.
