Windows 10: Missing DVD/CD folder in Device Manager

Device manager on 2024 laptop doesn't show the dvd/cd folder in device manager. How can I download the drivers??

DVD/CD Rom missing from device manager

I have a HP Pavillion dv9000 Entertainment Notebook. AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Technology TL-60 2.00 GHz. Ram 3.00 GB and 64-Bit Operating System. I had Windows Vista and did a clean install of Windows 7. While using Vista, I burned important files onto DVDs. After installing Windows 7, my DVD/CD Rom drive is not working.

I tried to update the drivers but I couldn't find them. I went into Device Manager to update them, but it's missing. I put in both a CD and DVD to see if it would pop-up and nothing. I went to Microsoft and tried their Fix-It and it couldn't find any device. URL here: Your CD or DVD drive is not recognized by Windows or other programs - Microsoft Support. The only thing that could possibly be a problem is something called a Coprocessor which is giving me an exclamation point in the device manager. I think it's related to a missing driver for the memory card. I'm prompted to go to the HP Company website to udpate it but I get an error message any time that I do so.

CD/DVD Rom

Dvd/Cd Missing from Device Manager-Since upgrading to 64bit

My Problem exists since upgrading to 64bit from 32bit.

I took my computer to a shop to be upgraded from 32bit to 64bit

as well as graphics card problems/replacement.

Prior to the graphics card problem I was able to insert a gaming cd

into my dvd/cd rw player, and they would all play and launch............

Since the upgrade, the dvd/cd powers up, ( Has power ) but is not

in the device manager list, and I have tried showing hidden devices,

detecting and repairing missing hardware, Fix it solutions, and a few

other hints and tips in this forum, all to no avail. Im at my wits end

and out of cash to fix the problem. The whole computer just cost me 629

Aud to have fixed and upgraded. But no dvd/cd rw player in the

Device manager..........Arghhhhhhhhhh now I can not play

Skyrim, citiesskylines or any other gaming cd or movie dvd. Help

Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?
