Windows 10: Missing edit / pen logo in Quick Action

Hello, I just installed windows 11 with OS Build 26100.2161 PC last week, but suddenly I realize no edit / add in my QUICK ACTION. when I asked my friend if their pc/laptop QUICK ACTION they had those buttons. I tried many ways to find solution for this trouble. can anyone help me?

Quick Action missing - Windows 10

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand how difficult it is, when the device doesn’t work in the way it should.

You can press Windows key + A together or you can swipe inwards from the right screen border to open Action Center on a touch screen. For us to isolate the issue and to assist you better, we’d like to ask you a few questions.

1. Which build version of Windows 10 are you using?
   
2. Which edition of Windows 10 are you using?
   

If the action center is turned off or disabled, it can’t be seen in the taskbar notification area. We can try a few steps and check if we can fix this.

Method 1: Turn on Action Center in Windows Settings.

1. Press Windows key + R together to open
   Run.
   
2. Click on Personalization >
   Taskbar.
   
3. Click on Turn system icons on or off.
   
4. Turn on Action Center.
   

If the issue persists, follow method 2.

Method 2: Enable Action Center in Group Policy.

The Local Group Policy editor is available only in the Windows 10 Pro, Enterprise, and Education editions.

1. Press Windows key + R together to open
   Run.
   
2. Type gpedit.msc and press
   Enter.
   
3. Expand User Configuration >
   Administrative Template > Start Menu and Taskbar.
   
4. On the right pane, look for Remove Notification and Action Center.
   
5. Double click on it.
   
6. If it is enabled, make it disabled.
   

Restart the system and check.

Quick Actions (tiles) slow after Creators Update

This problem may occur if there are corrupted system files on your computer or a third-party antivirus software that prevents these options. For us to better assist you, we would like to verify if you're pertaining about the Action Center options? Check
the image below.





If yes, we suggest that you remove the quick actions on the notification settings and add the actions again. Follow these steps on how to add or remove quick actions from the notification settings:

• On Cortana search, type notifications & actions settings.
• Choose Notifications & actions settings from the list.
• Click on Add or remove quick actions.
• Just toggle the On/Off button on all quick actions.

Mobile Data option missing as Quick Action

I recently upgraded from a Lumia 720 (imported from Hong Kong) with Denim to a Lumia 830 (with Denim, purchased at a MIcrosoft Store in Canada). In my 720, I can add Mobile Data as a Quick Action the notification/action center. However, upon booting up my
brand new 830 and trying to customize my Quick Actions, I noticed Mobile Data is missing in the list of Quick Action options. What I have on my list on my 830 right now are:

• Bluetooth
• brightness
• camera
• flight mode
• internet sharing
• location
• project my screen
• quiet hours
• rotation lock
• VPN
• WiFi

Checking Settings>About, it lists my 830 as having the Windows Phone 8.1 Update as the software (OS version 8.10.14157.200). Do I have the right version of Denim that offers Mobile Data? If not, how and when would I get the version that does? If I do have
the right version, how come Mobile Data is not showing up as an option?
