Windows 10: Missing feature: Drag and drop file types associated with pinned programs on taskbar

Dragging files from Explorer to a pinned program on the taskbar is not allowed.I would need to pin multiple items to a pinned program on the taskbar. I need to be productive, so any fundamental features like this getting disabled is a waste of time. I have found a solution online that involves tinkering around some registry entries, but this would also result in other features getting disabled.

drag and drop stops working on taskbar

Hi,

I want to drag a file (regardless of type) into an open explorer window (folder) which has been hidden by other windows, by dragging the file onto the folder on taskbar. Then the window should pop back into view and i can drop it into a location.

Not trying to directly open a file with its associated program.

this feature, we were enjoying in Windows 7 and 8 but not in Windows 10.

Should Microsoft bring this feature back..????
