Windows 10: missing file extensions and corrupt user profile

Windows 7 64 byte home premium.Trying to fix slideshow not working on main supervisor user. Only have a solid color background.I have a tried a couple fixes for corruption with no results. Then added a new supervisor user and it works fine as does the old quest user.Following 1 suggestion; Copied all the user files from the old to the new supervisor in order to delete the corrupted original supervisor.But the copied files came over without their file extension.How to fix the corrupted original user profile or fix the new supervisor file problem.

Corrupted User Profile

There maybe a couple of reasons behind this misbehavior such as a corrupted system file. However, we would like to be able to verify which process exactly is corrupted.

• When you install, does it give you any form of error message when it fails?
• What other processes doesn't go through on the said User account?

just to give you a heads up. The steps are about creating a new user profile and deleting the current one. I suggest you back up your files so you may be able to transfer it. You can also find information about it on the same thread.

I have Windows 10. My list of default file extensions/programs is missing the .zip file extension. How do I add it back in?
